Electrelane emerged from Brighton in 1998 as an experimental indie rock band that challenged conventional songwriting with multilingual vocals and instrumental prowess. Led by Verity Susman and Emma Gaze, they created four acclaimed albums before going on indefinite hiatus in 2007.
