The Black Belles emerged from Nashville in 2009 as an all-female garage goth rock band, discovered by Jack White and signed to Third Man Records. Their signature witch-hat aesthetic and haunting sound led to collaborations with Elvira and Stephen Colbert before going on hiatus in 2012.
